Candice Backman is the Founder of LAB79. Now residing stateside in SW Florida, Candice is qualified professional makeup artist and a multi-disciplinary creative, with a keen interest in beauty photography and fashion.
Having always been drawn to the creative process but unable to find jewellery she truly loved, Candice started designing her own and commissioned a jeweller to help bring these ideas to life. She Envisioned herself in a laboratory designing her own collections and so, LAB79 the Laboratory of Gold was born.
Our name and logo, LAB79 pays homage to the Periodic table of elements, namely the chemical element of gold (Au) and its atomic number 79.
